The BCRC hosted an exciting event on May 17, 2006 at Cottage Hospital. Billed as an "Information Fair: Complementary Health and Healing," eleven professionals presented their complementary therapies to the audience. The BCRC sponsors 6 modalities (at no cost for women during or after Breast Cancer treatment): Reiki, Aura-Soma, Guided Meditation & Qi Gong, Reflexology, Young Survivors' Support Groups, and Jin Shin Jyutsu.

Four community professionals introduced Spiritual Healing, Healing Touch, the "Look Good ... Feel Better" program (from the American Cancer Society), and Yoga & the Wellness Program (sponsored by the Cancer Center). A representative from Mentor Corporation provided an overview of medical prosthetics for reconstructive surgery.

The Information Fair was a great success. We encourage all people with breast cancer to utilize our facilities and staff -- AT NO COST. Come in and find out about all our services.
