Since opening our doors in 1997, we knew that having an up-to-date, free-lending library with internet access was vital to serving the needs of women diagnosed with breast cancer or dealing with benign breast health problems. So, we created a relaxed environment where friendly staff (mostly breast cancer survivors) welcome you and are ready to help gather pertinent information so you can be better informed and advocate for your health, and navigate your treatment path.
Many clients come to the BCRC to browse our library of patient education materials and learn more about breast cancer treatments, diagnostic tests, and follow-up care. We also have a section of titles in complementary health, guided imagery, yoga, and nutrition. Use the center as a stop over before or after medical appointments to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and/or to snuggle with a good book and cup of tea.
The library is free and open to the community. Please let us know how we may help you.
Search our Resource Library Catalog.
If you need help with internet access or would like to check out Resource Library materials, please stop by the BCRC Resource Library, or call us in advance to discuss materials you are interested in. Our library is open Monday – Friday 9:30am – 4:00pm, and by appointment.
The information found in the BCRC website and/or resource library is not a substitute for medical professional help or advice. These materials are only meant to be used as an aid in understanding breast health or cancer, and may not be pertinent to your medical condition. Please consult a physician for any health problem or medical condition.
With your support, the Breast Cancer Resource Center continues to provide daily services, access to an amazing resource library, free educational community lectures, support groups, and a suite of complementary care and integrative therapy services.
