Silvana R. Kelly, Executive Director, is responsible for implementing the vision and overseeing the overall administration and financial security of the BCRC. Prior to joining the BCRC, Silvana worked as the Marketing Manager for First Nano, Inc., a nanotechnology company, where she successfully branded the company and its products as a leader in an emerging industry. Additionally, she has over 10 years medical marketing experience in the fields of facial and plastic surgery, and ophthalmology. Silvana holds a Bachelor's degree in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley. Silvana is a breast cancer survivor.
Pam Truax, Director of Programs, coordinates BCRC support services and educational programs, including tracking client data and program outcomes, and fundraising. She also provides peer-counseling and lay patient navigation support. Pam has over 25 years experience in customer support management, leading teams to provide the highest level of service to achieve client satisfaction. She is a breast cancer survivor.
Christine DiBerardino, Mammogram Program Coordinator, in this position Christine coordinates special grant programs (Mammogram and Breast Education) and client follow-up and liaising with health and social service resources. She is provides administrative support for the program, interfaces with field outreach programs, and peer counseling. She attended UC Berkeley, and has experience in financial management of non-profit organizations. Prior to BCRC, Christine developed an independent living program for individuals with special needs. Christine will also assist with Avon grant reporting and ensuring goal achievements. As an Ovarian cancer survivor she brings a unique exeperience and compassion to the program and BCRC.
Ana Luisa Rodriquez, Field Outreach Coordinator, actively promotes our Field Outreach programs amongst the Spanish speaking population. She is bilingual and understands the particular challenges of cultural & social issues surrounding and impeding good breast health within the target community. Ana Luisa holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. She also assist clients in accessing local health resources to ensure good breast health and early cancer detection, including access to social service resources.
Ellen Fogel, MSW, Director of Integrative Therapy & Complementary Care, is a Volunteer. She is a RIEKI Master and founding mother of the program, and sits on the Advisory Board. She recruits, trains and schedules the program practitioners. Ellen is intrumental in developing and bringing new modalities to benefit our clients.
