We are grateful to Akiko Noguchi for sharing her story and we celebrate her as a truly inspiring person.
The best way to understand the impact of the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara (BCRC) is through the voices of our grateful and courageous clients who have experienced our programs and support community throughout their unique journey. We are grateful to Akiko Noguchi for sharing her story and we celebrate her as a truly inspiring person.
The BCRC is here to support, encourage and uplift anyone facing the challenges of a breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and working to navigate their unique journey.
There are so many questions and unknown challenges when facing a breast cancer diagnosis—we understand. The BCRC is here to listen, empower, inspire as well as provide practical support, guidance, and resources from diagnosis through survivorship.
Sometimes it’s providing a compassionate space of listening, nourishing soup, or a soft, warm hat, it may be fresh flowers to brighten the day, or the comfort of a community that knows how you feel—whatever the need, the BCRC is here to help. Connection with our clients happens in many ways, including support groups, meditation, education programs, peer counseling and wellness phone calls.
We are honored to be able to share Akiko’s story with you here:
