Easy Lift Transportation Drivers to Wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In partnership with the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara, Easy Lift Transportation will help bring awareness to the important issue of breast cancer, education and support
In partnership with the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara, Easy Lift Transportation will help bring awareness to the important issue of breast cancer, education and support, this October during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to bring awareness of the disease. Easy Lift Transportation will show its support by having all 40 drivers wear pink t-shirts that include the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara logo on its shirt sleeve.
“I’m excited to let the community know that Easy Lift will be partnering with the Breast Cancer Resource Center in October to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” said Ernesto Paredes, Easy Lift Executive Director. “The Easy Lift leadership strongly believes that partnering with community organizations in this way is important to show that we are indeed in this work together. In fact, we have had a number of breast cancer patients and survivors utilize our service.”
1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. In 2023, an estimated 297,790 women and 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Chances are that most people know at least one person who has been personally affected by breast cancer.
“At the BCRC every month is about Breast Cancer awareness, and bringing hope, support, and empowerment to those in our community facing breast cancer. All BCRC programs and services are made possible through community collaboration and significant partnerships like that of Easy Lift to help our clients with transportation, so they stay on track with timely treatment which has a direct impact on completing treatment and long-term survivorship, said Silvana Kelly, Executive Director for the Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC).
As we enter our most important month of raising awareness and funds for our work, we are fortunate to be linking arms with Easy Lift in this unique way.
