Women's Support Group
First & Third Wednesday of the month
We offer free, monthly support group sessions for women dealing with a diagnosis or treatment of breast cancer at any stage—primary or living with the disease.
Women meet virtually in a safe, non-judgmental, and warm atmosphere where people dealing with a diagnosis of breast cancer can find comfort and support each other while learning tools to cope with treatment. This is a place where you can let go without the stress of “trying to be strong” for your family, friends, or significant person in your life.
The session is designed to provide comfort and encouragement through discussions on topics such as treatment issues; cancer recurrences and metastases; work, family, and relationship changes and challenges; plus personal success stories.
The support group is led by a clinical psychologist, licensed therapist, social worker, or certified facilitator. The session focuses on supporting clients through various stages and challenges of cancer diagnosis and long-term illness. The facilitator seeks to catalyze each person in identifying their strengths and building coping abilities.
